A Date For The Dance

8 months ago Dale discovered the elixir, a magical pink concoction which would change any man into a gorgeous seductive temptress. It started innocently enough, Dale used the elixir and became his alter ego who he called Carmen. Carmen would then go to the bars and clubs in town and be the centre of everyones attention, Carmen loved it.

It all changed when Dale realised he was no longer in control of Carmen when he became her. She had her own free will, and she used it to do what she pleased, without audit from Dale. She spent his money, partied all night, seduced men, and even turned Dales friends against him.

Dale tried to stop taking the elixir, but the withdrawal was too much, it was like her voice was in his head, tempting him to take the elixir. Every time he'd eventually cave in, and drink the elixir and wake up days later in some strange bed with another man.

It was on one of these mornings that while Dale was sneaking out he bumped into his childhood friend Oscar, he was roommates with one of Carmens conquests that night.

Dale told Oscar everything, explaining who Carmen was, and that he felt like he was loosing himself, that Carmen was becoming stronger than he was, that he contemplated drinking enough elixir to become her forever.

Oscar offered to help, he helped sober Dale up, he hid Dales elixir, and helped for weeks with Dales withdrawal. Throughout he begged to become Carmen again, offering Carmen to him fully, but his Oscar stayed strong.

To help with Dales recuperation Oscar had moved in with him so he could keep an eye on his friend. Eventually the withdrawal subsided and Dale was back to his normal self, the desires to become Carmen were still there, but they were at least manageable. Dale was finally able to get back on with his life. But he knew he'd have to steer away from any elixir in his path, for he knew he would fail if only given then opportunity again.

Months laters, and Carmen was now a distant memory to Dale. He had pieced his life back together, and even had a girlfriend. Oscar by comparison was pretty hard up, he'd been single for over a year and had no prospects.

Normally Oscar would take this in his stride, but a day was approaching where he needed a girl by his side. It was his school reunion. The last one he went to he was the only one without a partner, he felt so left out, almost like everyone was joking about it. He couldn't let it happen again, but this time her had a plan.

"Sorry Dale, but I can't go to another reunion party without a girlfriend." he said as he rolled a vial of the elixir into Dales room.

Dales eyes went wide as he saw the sparkling liquid. His heart raced, Carmens whispers in his head instantly started shouting. "Do it!" she screamed. Dale fell to the floor and crawled over to the vial, holding it in his hands, he looked up at his friend betrayed as he took the stopper out, and drank deep.

She smugly smiled to herself, that was much easier than she thought. All that was left to do was finish the conversion of Oscar, soon she'd have him totally under her control too.
